Director, AI Product is one of the highest-leverage product leadership tracks we see — responsible for connecting enterprise AI capabilities to real customer outcomes across multiple product areas. Base compensation generally lands in a $200K–$290K range with meaningful equity, and the densest hiring is across technology, financial services, and the AI-enabled side of professional services. The strongest directors we place are product leaders with genuine technical depth — not product managers with a passing interest in AI.
Key responsibilities
Lead a team of AI product managers across multiple product areas
Set the overall AI product strategy and ensure alignment with company priorities
Hire, mentor, and develop product management talent from associate through senior PM
Partner with engineering, research, and design leadership on cross-functional priorities
Own senior-level product decisions including new bets, kill criteria, and investment reallocation
Represent the AI product function in exec-level forums and key customer conversations
Set and hold the bar for what great AI product work looks like internally
Shape the responsible AI posture of the products in your portfolio
Candidate requirements
10+ years of product experience with at least 3 years managing PMs
Demonstrated senior leadership of AI or ML product organizations
Strong executive communication and stakeholder management
Track record of building and developing senior product managers
Deep technical fluency across modern AI stacks
Outcomes-oriented, with a clear view on what great product leadership looks like
