Job responsibilities

• Shape and communicate the organization's AI strategy, roadmap, and investment thesis to the board, C-suite, and stakeholders

• Lead cross-functional AI governance, including risk assessment, ethical frameworks, and compliance with emerging regulations

• Partner with business and technology leaders to identify high-impact AI use cases and prioritize deployment across the organization

• Build or strengthen the internal AI capability—talent acquisition, team structure, and knowledge transfer—while evaluating build-vs.-buy decisions

• Own the business case and ROI tracking for major AI initiatives, ensuring alignment with corporate objectives

• Advise on vendor selection, technology architecture decisions, and integration of AI tools into existing systems

• Serve as the internal and external thought leader on AI, representing the organization to investors, partners, and the market

Candidate requirements

• 10+ years leading strategy, product, or technology initiatives, with at least 4 years in a direct AI or machine learning leadership role

• Proven track record of deploying AI at scale—from pilot conception through production, with measurable business impact and ROI

• Fluency in AI/ML capabilities, limitations, and emerging tooling; ability to speak credibly to technical teams and boards alike

• Experience navigating AI governance, risk, and ethical considerations in regulated or complex environments

• Strong executive presence and storytelling ability; comfortable advising boards and C-suites on strategy and trade-offs

• Track record of building high-performing teams and recruiting AI talent in competitive markets
