Typical job responsibilities
Own the continuous improvement strategy and roadmap, identifying high-impact opportunities across operations, supply chain, manufacturing, or service delivery
Lead lean, Six Sigma, or other structured improvement methodologies — from problem definition through implementation and sustainability
Build and mentor a team of process improvement specialists, analysts, and project leads; develop capability across the organization
Partner with operations, finance, and executive leadership to align improvement priorities with business goals and drive accountability for results
Design and execute improvement projects that reduce costs, improve quality, cycle time, or customer satisfaction; track and communicate ROI
Establish metrics, dashboards, and reporting cadence to monitor process health and improvement velocity across the enterprise
Drive cultural adoption of continuous improvement mindset; run training and engagement programs to embed problem-solving at all levels
Typical candidate requirements
10+ years in operations, process improvement, manufacturing, or supply chain roles, with at least 5 years in a director-level or equivalent leadership position
Demonstrated expertise in lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, or similar methodologies — certification a plus but evidence of successful implementation required
Proven track record leading high-impact improvement initiatives that delivered measurable cost savings, efficiency gains, or quality improvements
Strong people leadership: built and scaled improvement teams, developed talent, and fostered a culture of continuous problem-solving
Ability to translate operational data into clear narratives for executives; comfortable presenting ROI, trade-offs, and progress to the C-suite
Experience in complex, regulated, or multi-site environments (manufacturing, healthcare, financial services, or similar); familiarity with ERP systems and data analytics tools
